Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) was back on the air to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd season. Her true love in life was writing, and she won an Emmy. Additionally, she was awarded an Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk program. Between 2002 and 2010 Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. The anchor was for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour morning news program at the beginning of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the war in Iraq as well as other important news stories on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. In Cairo, she scoured down and talked to the father of the hijackers in an eye-opening and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show which featured celebrities such as Paula Abdul. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton the state of Ohio (1995-1997). Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She also was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. As a desk-assistant for ABC News late night broadcast Nightline She worked alongside Ted Koppel. He remains an inspiration to her in the field of journalism. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel to produce the Columbia du-Pont-winning special Anatomy of a Riot which focused on the Los Angeles riots of '92.
